UMass Memorial Medical Center is located on three campuses; 55 lake Ave N, 119 Belmont Street and 281 Lincoln Street. With 781 beds, it has two emergency departments, 46 operating rooms, nine ICUs, and robust diagnostic and ambulatory care. It is home to the region’s only Level One Trauma Center for adults and children, our Life flight air ambulance service, a Children’s Medical Center and an internationally recognized Newborn Intensive Care Unit. UMMMC is ranked number one in New England and third in the nation for surviving a heart attack.

UMass Memorial Medical group is a multispecialty group practice with 1,050 physicians and 2,200 nonphysician staff members. It is one of the largest and diverse medical groups on the east Coast. Our physicians provide clinical care services in 12 hospitals, 5 community health centers, 3 rehabilitation facilities, 25 nursing homes and 80 office based practices. They provide over 3,000,000 patient encounters a year.

Physician members of the UMass Memorial Medical Group have faculty appointments at our academic partner-the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Comprised of distinguished medical experts with international reputations, members of the Medical Group are educating tomorrow’s physicians and working on the treatments and cures that are advancing medicine.
