Founded in 1925, Westlake Hospital is a 225-bed facility committed to providing exceptional service, warm hospitality and excellent quality care to its patients and physicians. Located in Melrose Park, Illinois, Westlake Hospital is a full-service hospital dedicated to providing health care for the community using the most advanced treatments, comprehensive resources and expert support.
Many of its affiliated physicians are leaders in their fields, teaching the next generation of medical providers through the hospital’s highly regarding internal medicine residency program. In addition to providing traditional hospital care, Westlake offers services ranging from high-tech diagnostic procedures usually offered in large teaching institutions to specialized inpatient services, including a behavioral health unit and inpatient detoxification program. Westlake also offers expert outpatient care in the Leonard J. Muller Ambulatory Surgery Center, Women’s Imaging Center, Back and Neck Pain Center and the West Suburban Center for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. As a Chest Pain Accredited Center, Westlake is at the forefront of cardiac care. Plus, Westlake is one of the select few Chicago area hospitals to offer the latest in cardiac imaging technology, offering patients with heart problems high quality coronary CT imaging with a 70% reduction in radiation exposure.
Westlake is also at the forefront of bariatric surgery. As one of only three programs in the Chicagoland area to be a fully accredited Bariatric Surgery Program by the American College of Surgeons, Bariatric Surgery Center Network (BSCN), the West Suburban Center for Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery provides the most advanced surgical options and nationally recognized quality care.
