A Journey of Opportunity starts here!
At HealthEast, enjoy a supportive, respectful, collegial culture, in a faith-based organization. Rooted in Judeo-Christian values, our mission is to provide high quality, compassionate, cost effective health care for the communities we serve; creating the best health care experience through a passion for caring and service. We offer physicians the opportunity to make a difference in patient care, plus a competitive compensation package including base salary, comprehensive benefits, incentive bonuses and retirement plan.

Each Hospitalist is primarily based at one of four teams (Bethesda, St. Joseph’s, St. John’s or Woodwinds), but all function as one team-the HealthEast Hospitalist Team. Physicians are conveniently credentialed and privileged to work anywhere in the system. Cross-site opportunities are available, but there is no requirement to work at more than one site.

Since being founded more than 125 years ago, Bethesda, a member of HealthEast Care System, has grown from a small, community hospital to a comprehensive long-term acute care hospital, or LTACH. We're different from traditional hospitals (short-term acute care facilities). While we deliver acute hospital-level care, we also offer integrated programs for our patients whose illnesses or injuries have long-term effects.

LTACHs provide for these patients' physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs. We offer comprehensive, aggressive and specialized medical care for respiratory illnesses, neurovascular conditions, complex medical problems, and/or physical and behavioral disabilities that require further medical interventions and rehabilitation or behavioral management.
