About This Opportunity

Support the Claim Department by processing AHCCCS claims for VHS Phoenix Health Plan. Duties include clearing pended encounters from the AHCCCS pend report, compiling reports on outstanding encounters subject to sanctions and processing/ adjusting claims as needed including COB recovery, Customer Service requests, research and grievances. Also oversees and does follow up on recoupment requests and adjustment projects.

Special Skills: Must be highly organized, professional, and have excellent verbal communication skills. Analysts should be proficient in ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding; strong data entry, 10-key and general numerical analytical skills are required.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience: Five years of prior work experience as a claims analyst, preferably in commercial healthcare, managed care, and/or AHCCCS related lines of business.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Shift: Day Shift
Hours: M-F, 8-5
